General Terms and Conditions for hotel accommodations contracts

 

1. Reservation Contract

These terms and conditions apply to contracts for the rental of hotel rooms, as well as all other goods and services rendered by the hotel to the consumer in this context. The term “Hotel Accommodation Contract” comprises and replaces the flowing terms:  accommodation, lodging, hotel, hotel room contract.

The Boutique Hotel Panorama Grindelwald and the customer (or the person commissioned by the customer) are the contracting parties. A reservation can be made verbally, in writing (also email) or in electronic form. The contract shall come into force upon the hotel`s acceptance of the customer`s offer. This contract does not require a written form. At its discretion, the hotel may confirm the room reservation in written form.

 

2. Services. Prices, payment, set-off

The dates of the options (tenders or conformations) are binding for both parties. Upon expiry of the option, the Boutique Hotel Panorama Grindelwald automatically possesses the reserved rooms. Outside these specific data no guarantees can be given for availability or whatsoever.

The customer is obligated to pay the agreed or applicable hotel prices for room provided and for other services accepted. This also applies to services ordered by the customer directly or via the hotel, which a third party provides and the hotel disburses.

Reservations are not transferable.

All prices are in CHF. The agreed prices do not include local taxes. Tourist taxes need to be paid upon arrival.

Tourist taxes rates:

• CHF 5.20 per adult per night
• CHF 4.20 per child between 12 and 15 years
• CHF 0 per child under 12 years

In case of the customer’s later request for a reduction of the number of reserved rooms, services of the hotel or the customer’s length of stay, the hotel has the right to charge 100% of the initial booking price.

The hotel is entitled to demand a reasonable advance payment or deposit, this can only be done with a valid credit card from the guest upon conclusion of the contract. The amount of the advance payment and the payment dates can be agreed in writing in the contract. In case of advance payments, the statutory provisions remain unaffected. The credit card information will be kept in confidence. Cash payments can only be made in the Swiss Currency (CHF).

In the case of a non refundable rate the total amount of the booking has to be paid with a valid credit card at the time of the booking. These bookings can not be changed or cancelled. No refund will be given.

If the customer does not fulfil this obligation to pay the deposit or provide the security in due time, the hotel shall be entitled to withdraw from the contract after setting a reasonable grace period.

• Cancellation conditions in case of a refundable booking:
• Cancellations of bookings up to 14 days before the date of arrival are free of charge.
• Cancellations of bookings less than 14 days before arrival will be charged 100% of the total costs.

Group bookings (3 or more rooms) 100% of the total price is charged with no possibility to refund. 

In case of no show up, despite reservation, the customer will be charged for the entire 100% of the total cost of the stay.

 

3. Room availability, delivery and return

The customer does not acquire the right to be provided specific rooms insofar as this is not expressly agreed. 

Please contact us before you book if you want to come with any children. 

It is mandatory for guests to present a valid photo identification, such as a passport, at the time of check-in.

Reserved rooms are available to the customer starting 04.00 pm on the agreed arrival day. The customer does not have the right on earlier availability.

Rooms must be vacated and made available to the hotel no later than 10.00 am on the agreed departure day. After that time, on the grounds of delayed vacating of the room for use exceeding the contractual time, the hotel may charge 50% of the full accommodation rate (list price) for the additional use of the room. Contractual claims of the customer shall not be established hereby.

Early check in or late check out is only allowed when this is expressly agreed with the hotel. An extra amount of CHF 50 will be charged. Contractual claims of the customer shall not be established hereby.

Only those quest who are on the booking may use the hotel room and other facilities of the hotel.

Out of consideration for the other quests, pets are not allowed.

 

4. Vehicles

If the guest parks a vehicle (car, motorcycle or bicycle) on the hotel premises, even for a fee, this does not result in a safekeeping contract. In the event of loss or damage to vehicles parked or maneuvered on the hotel property and their contents, the hotel is only liable when there is prove for intent or great neglect by the hotel.

 

5. Food and safety

Guests are not allowed to bring food and beverages from outside in the hotel or order food from outside the hotel. Cooking is also strictly forbidden in the room, balconies, terrasses and other areas of the hotel. In the event of violations, the hotel is entitled to charge the guest for costs (CHF 250). The costs include in particular: cleaning costs for the room, costs incurred for subletting, additional expenses for procuring alternative solutions such as alternative rooms.

The hotel room and other areas and facilities must be treated with great care and neatness. The customer is liable to Boutique Hotel Panorama Grindelwald for all damages and losses or other damages caused by himself or the people that accompany him. The customer is obliged to report direct damage immediately by the staff of the hotel. Boutique Hotel Panorama Grindelwald shall only be liable in case of intentional or gross neglect. Liability for slight negligence is expressly excluded.

 

6. Smoking and disturbance

The hotel has a non smoking policy. This means that smoking is prohibited in the hotel rooms, balconies, terraces and other areas in the hotel building as well as public places. With the reservation, the guest accepts the smoking ban. In case of a smoking alarm goes of while smoking in the hotel room or other places as mentioned above all the costs that are being made as result of this (fire brigade etc) will be at the costs of the customer.

No gatherings and parties of any nature are to be held in the room or other aeras of the hotel.

The hotel reserves the right to send guests away from the hotel due to their conduct and behavior or for other safety, security, medical applies in particular.
